Make your own shop faster, cleaner, and more predictable.

Hands-on help with tooling, feeds and speeds, DFM, materials, and planning, from an engineer who runs the same work every day.

Training, tooling, and feeds/speeds

  • Machinist training at the machine, on your parts.
  • Tooling selection and sourcing, including off-the-shelf or quick-turn special cutters for odd geometry.
  • Feeds and speeds optimization: maker data first, chip-thinning-corrected feeds for light radial and chamfer passes, and a controlled sheet for every tool and material.
  • Toolpath tuning: stepover and scallop sized to the Ra on the print, so parts come off in spec without extra polishing.

DFM, materials, cost, and schedule

  • DFM reviews: GD&T, default corner-radius notes, finish and plating callouts, material traceability.
  • Material and hardware selection for strength, finish, and cost.
  • Cost estimation and critical-path scheduling for new parts and product launches.

Example: a surface defect, traced and fixed

Gouge traced to the CAM output

A recurring gouge on a finished surface was traced by reading the G-code to a low linking retract, then fixed in the program. No new tools, no extra polishing, and the fix went into the shop's controlled settings so it stays fixed.

Other recent work: work-hardening stainless planned with proper stock-to-leave and step-downs, and corner-radius keyseat cutters sourced for an undercut nobody stocked.
